The most common error message during installation of SVOffice2009 on both Windows Vista and Windows 7 is an "Installation error code 2869 is encountered" message. This message is due to the new security model used in Windows Vista and Windows 7, which breaks many older installers. Be sure to run the SETUP.EXE file and not the .MSI file to install SVOffice 2009. If this problem continues to occur, follow these steps:
Step 1: Disable the User Account Control setting. In the Control Panel, navigate to the Action Center and select "Change User Account Control". Choose the "legacy" setting. This will likely require a reboot.
Step 2: Install SVOffice. There should be no errors during installation. Be sure to install the HASP drivers and FlexPDE as well when prompted.
Step 3: Re-enable the User Account Control setting. This step is optional but recommended. A second reboot is likely required.
That's it! Your software should now be working.
