What this may mean:
Computer cannot read the dongle license
What should I try:
Try first re-authorizing the license on the dongle with the license code supplied with your order. When a dongle for SoilVision database is moved from computer to computer, it may need to be re-authorized.
If re-authorizing does not work check to see if the following conditions exist:
- Does your computer use Windows 7? If yes, please try the topic for "Windows 7 SoilVision workarounds"
- Does your dongle key have a red light on it when plugged in? If no, your USB key may be damaged as it is not receiving power to light the key up. Try plugging it into other ports on both your computer and another person's to confirm that it will not receive power to light up the dongle. After confirmation, contact SoilVision Systems Ltd. to replace the dongle key.
- Are you using the most recent version of SoilVision database? Check to see that your version matches the version posted on the home page of SoilVision Support when you log in.
